Lorem Ipsum gets involved with the 50 shades craze

20 Aug

So checking twitter this morning and a lot of people are talking about the new ‘Lorem Ipsum’ so I thought it was worth a look. Heres what I found. I wonder if designers will be using this in the future instead of the normal, it will definitely be more eye catching and get your work noticed.

‘If there were ever the need to ‘spice up’ the usual Lorem Ipsum dummy text—look no further.

Fifty Shades Generator is a website that generates random dummy text inspired by the popular erotic novel, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

By clicking on the ‘Generate more’ button, paragraphs of “world-class literature” will be produced on screen based on pre-defined vocabulary.

According to the site’s creators, they said, “Creatives can now excite clients in more ways than one with Fifty Shades of Grey-inspired filler text.”

If erotica isn’t your thing—perhaps you would like to try out a cupcake orhipster dummy text generator instead?

A word of caution—most of the paragraphs featured are quite explicit.’ – Taken from Taxi magazine

New take on Alice in Wonderland

26 Jul

I saw this on a site and I thought it was absolutely amazing.

The amount of detail that has gone into this to create the image from the story it self is unbelievable. That way it looks like an advertising poster until you look closely and can read the story for your self is mind boggling.

It was created by Spineless Classics as an art poster, so it’s available to buy and frame as a timeless piece of artwork. They have also created a few other pieces similar to this such as ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ but ‘Alice’ is by far my personal favourite.

I will definitely be keeping this in mind if ever I have to create an editorial format for a story. I love how it just works effortlessly. It really does shout at you and make you stop to look.

Here are a few of the others they have created:

A Mid-summer Nights Dream

Peter Pan

Pride and Prejudice

Hound of the Baskervilles
